The SCAN Foundation (Skin Cancer Awareness Network) was founded in 2006 by Marilyn Fry, a survivor of melanoma. Her mission is to use her experience and second opportunity for life to educate members of the community on the harmful effects of the sun, to help them avoid this preventable disease, and to provide information on care options treatment. Our mission is to support community outreach programs and help educate the public about safe exposure and fun in the sun.

Friends of Mel
SCAN Foundation is proud to partner with Friends of Mel Bracelets. The mission of the Friends of Mel is to provide quality cancer care for the whole patient by funding cancer research, education and support. SCAN Foundation receives a portion of all bracelet sales when you visit Friends of Mel

 

 

Piedmont Cancer Center
The dermatologists at the Piedmont Cancer Center are the first medical doctors you need to go to for a skin check. Proper prevention and early detection are vital in preventing skin cancer.
